Playground Rules & Frequently Asked Questions – The Hockey Playground Richmond Hill
🏒 Coaches and Attendants are the Refs
Listen to staff at all times — their call is final. Good life advice: a Ref has
never changed their mind!
🏒 Controlled movement only
No sprinting or racing. Move with awareness between stations.
🏒 No body contact
This is a skills and competition space — no checking, elbowing, fighting,
high sticking, slashing, tripping, cross checking, spearing, or slew footing.
🏒 Puck Policy
Shoot only when directed by staff, all pucks must stay in designated
activity. Please do not take pucks out of the playground.
🏒 Always control your stick
High sticks or swinging or playing outside the activity will stop play
immediately.
🏒 One player at a time
Wait your turn in all shooting lanes and challenges.
🏒 Proper footwear required
Clean running shoes only. No other footwear will be permitted.
🏒 Respect the rink and the gear
Intentional misuse or unsafe behavior may result in removal.
🏒 No food or drinks in the playground
Water breaks are taken outside in designated areas.
🏒 Play like a teammate
Respect players, staff, and the game.

Do I need experience to play?
No. Stations are designed for all levels — beginners to elite.
What should I bring?
Bring your own stick and indoor shoes. Hockey gloves optional.
Are helmets required?
Helmets are not required in this off-ice environment.
Can parents stay and watch?
Yes — parents can watch, join the fun, or drop off.
Is The Hockey Playground only for kids?
No — teens and adults are welcome.
Do you provide sticks?
This is a Bring Your Own Stick facility.
How long is a session?
Sessions are 60, 90, or 120 minutes.
Cancellation policy?
We do not offer cancellations or refunds.
Can we book private events?
Yes — birthdays, teams, and corporate events are available.
